Types of Blackjack Information Available on the Internet |
Introduction
The internet is a tremendous resource for information on everything,
including blackjack. You could spend the rest of your life surfing for
blackjack strategies and online casinos to play blackjack at, and never
even scratch the surface of what is out there. Unfortunately, most of
this information is either inaccurate, or of no real benefit to the
blackjack player, and worst of all, could prove detrimental to your
game. We urge you to use caution when using the internet... do your
homework and verify the informaion you read.
Categories of blackjack and gambling information sources available on the Internet include the following:
- chat rooms, where you can talk with other players in real time;
- newsgroups,
where you can pose questions, get answers, and read other questions,
answers, comments, gripes, complaints, etc. like a bulletin board;
- list servers,
which accept messages from gamblers and then distribute the messages to
all subscribers to the list-either moderated or unmoderated;
- web rings, which are web sites with a common subject linked to each other to make it easier to find and visit them;
- web sites and portals, which offer information and commercial products for sale;
- e-zines
(online e-mail newsletters or web sites that are updated periodically),
which offer information about every conceivable gambling subject; and
- directories and search engines.
